Browns | Brandon Weeden expected to perform better in new system
Cleveland Browns QB Brandon Weeden has a good chance of performing better in the system head coach Rob Chudzinski and offensive coordinator Norv Turner are bringing to the team because it is more open to using the shotgun formation. Weeden did not perform well in the West Coast offensive because a majority of his passes were from under center and 25 of his passes were batted down at the line of scrimmage. Weeden had a 79.1 passer rating with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions when in the shotgun this season while throwing six touchdowns and 10 interceptions when under center with a 67.7 quarterback rating. The team still has not determined if Weeden is their quarterback of the future.
