MLB | Julio Lugo expected to retire

Free-agent INF Julio Lugo (Braves) plans to retire following the Caribbean Series this week, according to Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com. He's suiting up for the Dominican Republic club Leones del Escogido. His last action came with the Atlanta Braves in 2011, and a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians fell apart before the start of 2012 spring training.
