Browns | Alex Smith enjoyed time with Norv Turner

San Francisco 49ers QB Alex Smith said Wednesday, Jan. 30, that he enjoyed his time with Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Norv Turner during the 2006 season in San Francisco. "Loved my time with Norv," Smith said. "(It was) a very, very friendly QB system. For them there, it's going to be a terminology change going from a West Coast system to the digits, but very, very QB friendly, big-play potential for the offense with a lot of chunk plays."

Fantasy Tip: The Browns are one of the teams said to be of interest to Smith if he is traded or released after the Super Bowl, and a league source said playing for Turner again would pique Smith's interest. However, even if he lands a starting gig somewhere in 2013, he is viewed as a Top 25 fantasy option at his position at best.
