Panthers | Ron Rivera knows he needs to start winning

Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said he was not issued a make-the-playoffs-or-else ultimatum from owner Jerry Richardson; however, he knows there is a sense of urgency heading into 2013. "I understand we need to win - and he knows I understand that," Rivera said. "He's been forthright and direct. Now it's up to me." The Panthers went 6-10 and 7-9 the past two seasons under Rivera.
