White Sox | Tyler Flowers ready to produce
Chicago White Sox C Tyler Flowers has already been working with hitting coach Jeff Manto and assistant hitting coach Harold Baines in an effort to get a jump on the season, and successfully replace C A.J. Pierzynski (Rangers). "I'm not taking anything for granted. There's no guarantee on anything. From the sound of it there might be a guarantee on Opening Day, but that's about it," Flowers said. "If I don't continue to work hard and produce and help the White Sox win, I might not have the job at the end of the year. The focus is to continue to get better."
Fantasy Tip: Flowers has a lot to prove heading into 2013, and it's a positive sign he is getting a jump on the season trying to improve. Right now, he is a Top 25 fantasy option at his position, or a low-end No. 2 catcher in mixed formats and low-end No. 1 catcher in deeper AL-only leagues.
