Angels | Albert Pujols still hoping to play in WBC
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 1B Albert Pujols (knee) is hoping he can play for the Dominican Republic after the second round of the 2013 World Baseball Classic. He would still need special permission from the Angels in order to play, though, after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in October of last year. "That's why I had the operation in October, to be ready for the Classic," Pujols said. He's currently trying to strengthen his leg and expects to be fine for spring training.
