Orioles | Jair Jurrjens healthy
Baltimore Orioles SP Jair Jurrjens (knee, quadriceps) has already thrown seven bullpen sessions this winter while working out in Florida, and he said he's fully healthy heading into spring training. Jurrjens said the weakness in his right quadriceps limited his power last season, which caused a drop in velocity. "So far it's going well. (I'm) seeing a lot of improvement, and we're working on a game plan for me to do during the season to stay healthy and help the team," Jurrjens said. He hasn't dealt with any aches and pains in his knee this offseason and has been able to run and do squats without problems. Jurrjens isn't interested in contributing in a relief role for the Orioles, though.
