Orioles | Earl Weaver dies
Former Baltimore Orioles manager Earl Weaver died of an apparent heart attack Saturday, Jan. 19, at the age of 82, while traveling on a team fantasy cruise. In two stints with the club, he led the team to six division titles, four American League pennants and a World Series championship in 1970. Weaver was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1996.
