Rangers | More on Matt Harrison extension
Texas Rangers SP Matt Harrison's five-year, $55 million extension will include an option for the 2018 season worth $13.25 million that could increase by as much as $2.5 million depending on incentives. The option will carry a $2 million buyout. Harrison's option will vest if he pitches 200 or more innings in each of the final three years of the deal. He'll make $13 million combined in the first two years and then $13 million in each of the final three seasons. He's expected to be the team's No. 2 starter behind SP Yu Darvish.
