Lions | No franchise tag for Cliff Avril

Detroit Lions general manager Martin Mayhew said he has no plans to use the franchise tag on DE Cliff Avril or any other player on the team this offseason. Avril's sack numbers declined this year for the first time in his five-year career, finishing with 9.5 sacks and two forced fumbles after setting a career high with 11 sacks and six forced fumbles last season.
