Rangers | Joakim Soria wants to close again
Texas Rangers RP Joakim Soria would love to have the chance to close again, although he's fine with serving as RP Joe Nathan's setup man this season. Soria will have a base salary of $2 million this year and a $5.5 million salary in 2014. He'll have a $7 million option for 2015, with a $500,000 buyout. He'll receive a $500,000 bonus this year if he's on the active roster for one day. His 2014 salary can jump from $100,000 to $1 million more depending how many games he finishes in 2013; he'll get $100,000 if he finishes 10 games and another $100,000 each on his 2014 contract for 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 60, 65 and 70 games finished. Soria has plenty of other incentives in his contract for games finished and innings pitched.
