Yankees | Derek Jeter making progress
New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said SS Derek Jeter (ankle) is working out at the team's minor league complex in Tampa, Fla. "He's doing fine," Cashman said. "All the boots are off. He's allowed to walk around now in shoes and stuff, but he's not doing any running. He's at the complex and they have an underwater treadmill, so he's doing some walking underwater." He is expected to be cleared for baseball activities, such as hitting and fielding, before the end of the month, and is scheduled to resume running shortly thereafter.
Fantasy Tip: Jeter will still be rehabbing from his ankle injury by the time spring training begins, but is expected to be at 100 percent by Opening Day.
