Red Sox | Checking on Javier Vazquez

The Boston Red Sox sent representatives to Puerto Rico Wednesday, Jan. 9, to watch free-agent SP Javier Vazquez (Marlins) pitch. Vazquez has not appeared in the majors since 2010, but is attempting a comeback. According to former Major leaguer Alex Cora, who is general manager of Vazquez's Puerto Rican team, Vazquez hit 95mph on his 83rd pitch of the night.
