San Francisco 49ers director of player personnel Tom Gamble has been considered the frontrunner for the New York Jets general manager vacancy; however, the Jets are said to be focused on another candidate. Atlanta Falcons director of player personnel David Caldwell, Jets assistant general manager Scott Cohen and New York Giants director of college scouting Marc Ross are also possibilities.
