Packers | Rush defense decent in victory
Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers said Sunday, Jan. 6, that his defense's patience was key in holding Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson to 99 rushing yards in the NFC Wild Card game win Saturday, Jan. 5. "Guys have a tendency to want to get to the ball, and that's when he makes his yardage, spilling the ball outside if you don't set the edge," Capers said. "I thought we did a much better job of that last night. There were a number of players where we had the same type of defense at the point of attack, but yet our backside people, we were more patient in holding out gap control. I thought that was a big factor in the game."
