According to multiple industry sources, the New York Mets have reached out to the representative for free-agent SP Carl Pavano (Twins) to help re-stock the rotation. The Mets also have talked to SP's Francisco Liriano (White Sox), Shaun Marcum (Brewers) and Chris Young (Mets).
