Phillies | Mike Adams agrees to terms

The Philadelphia Phillies have agreed to terms with free-agent RP Mike Adams (Rangers) on a two-year contract worth $12 million, pending a physical. The deal includes a $6.5 million vesting option for the 2015 season if Adams makes 120 appearances over the next two seasons (with at least 60 appearances in 2014). The contract would vest for $6 million if Adams makes 65 appearances in 2014, regardless of how many games he appears in during the 2013 campaign. If Adams is unable to reach either of those marks, the Phillies hold a $6 million option for 2015.
