Vikings | Pressure being taken off Christian Ponder
Minnesota Vikings QB Christian Ponder attempted only 17 passes and completed 11 of them for only 91 yards in the team's Week 14 win over the Chicago Bears, and head coach Leslie Frazier indicated that the team's game plan has been to take as much pressure off the offense's air attack as possible. RB Adrian Peterson has been propelling the offense on his own, and Ponder has completed 12 or fewer passes in four games this year. "I don't see us being that type of team," Frazier said. "That's not the team that we went to training camp saying that we wanted to be. We want to be able to run the ball effectively, stop the run, create turnovers, play tough hard-nosed defense and win in every phase on special teams. (Sunday) we saw kind of what we've talked about."
