MLB | Four teams interested in Nick Swisher

The Boston Red Sox are among four teams interested in signing free-agent OF Nick Swisher (Yankees), according to a baseball source. Swisher would be a backup plan if Boston is unable to sign free-agent OF Josh Hamilton (Rangers). The San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians are the other teams in on Swisher. Swisher is looking for a five- or six-year contract, and the Indians hope they can lure him in with four years and $48 to $50 million. The Red Sox would hope to sign him to a shorter term.
