Dodgers | Hyun-Jin Ryu agrees to terms
The Los Angeles Dodgers agreed to terms with Korean SP Hyun-Jin Ryu Sunday, Dec. 9. The deal is for six years, $36 million. Including the $25.7 posting fee, the pitcher costs the team a total of $61.7 million.
Fantasy Tip: Ryu will obviously be slotted behind Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke, competing for a third, fourth or fifth starter job with the Dodgers. As such, he is worth a late-round pick in the later rounds in mixed re-draft formats, and in the middle rounds in NL-only leagues. For those in long-term keeper formats, he'll certainly go a little higher. He is strikeout pitcher with a fastball in the low 90s, a changeup and a slider.
