Dodgers | Pessimistic about Zack Greinke
The Los Angeles Dodgers are pessimistic about landing free-agent SP Zack Greinke (Angels) after leaving the winter meetings this week. The Dodgers have had negotiations with Greinke's representatives but don't appear to have made him an offer. The Dodgers are unlikely to be outbid for Greinke, so it's possible that Greinke prefers another team, and reports are indicating that he's leaning toward the Texas Rangers. The Dodgers could still attempt to trade for Tampa Bay Rays SP James Shields or sign free-agent SPs Anibal Sanchez (Tigers) or Kyle Lohse (Cardinals).
