Free-agent RP Brian Wilson (elbow) was told by Dr. James Andrews that he will be cleared for spring training and will be ready for opening day. The San Francisco Giants are keeping the door open on re-signing Wilson. The Giants are focusing more on what Wilson can provide them later in the year, not in the first few months of the season. Wilson wants to remain a closer.
