Steelers | Ben Roethlisberger will attempt to play

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder, ribs) will attempt to play in Week 14 against the San Diego Chargers. "I'm hoping," Roethlisberger said. "I can play with pain. I'll give it everything I've got. Pain is not an issue for me. It's about performance and how hard can I throw the ball? How far can I throw the ball?" Roethlisberger is feeling much better, and he got plenty of first-team repetitions in practice Wednesday, Dec. 5. There is no longer concern that his dislocated rib will puncture his aorta.
