Rays | Interested in re-signing J.P. Howell, Jeff Keppinger

The Tampa Bay Rays are interested in re-signing RP J.P. Howell and 2B Jeff Keppinger. However, the New York Yankees' interest in Keppinger to replace 3B Alex Rodriguez (hip) may prevent the Rays from bringing him back. Keppinger is thought to want a three-year deal worth $12 million, which would put him out of Tampa's price range. The Rays also aren't ruling out a return for OF Ben Francisco or RP Kyle Farnsworth.
