Dodgers | Offer to Hyun-Jin Ryu rejected

The Los Angeles Dodgers offered a long-term contract to Korean SP Hyun-Jin Ryu Tuesday, Dec. 4, that was promptly rejected, general manager Ned Colletti said. Colletti said he didn't know how the team would proceed in the negotiations. Ryu could elect to pitch in Japan next season, signing a one-year deal with a Japanese team. He would then become an unrestricted free agent next winter and wouldn't be subject to the posting system.
