Dodgers | Hanley Ramirez viewed as SS

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said the team still views SS Hanley Ramirez as their opening day shortstop. Ramirez is planning to represent the Dominican Republic in next spring's World Baseball Classic, and Mattingly said the team won't keep him from doing that, as long as he plays shortstop. However, it's unlikely that Ramirez will play shortstop since Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes will also be playing for the Dominican. 3B Luis Cruz will enter spring training with a chance to become the starting third baseman. INFs Jerry Hairston Jr., Nick Punto and Juan Uribe will also be in the picture at the hot corner.
