Nationals | Dan Haren agrees

The Washington Nationals agreed with free-agent SP Dan Haren (Angels) to a one-year, $13 million deal. The deal is pending a physical.

Fantasy Tip: If Haren is healthy, this is a great deal for both sides. Haren nets $16.5 million with the $3.5 million buyout from the Angels, and the Nationals get a proven horse motivated to land a large deal next offseason. The move back to the National League should bode well for Haren. The Nats need to upgrade their bullpen, but the offense is developing and could be a force this year to support him. Haren is a solid choice for the middle of your fantasy rotation with some upside.
