Yankees | More details on Alex Rodriguez
Updating an ongoing story, New York Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez (hip) had his right hip examined during the playoffs, but it turns out it is his left hip that is injured. His right hip is the one he injured in 2009. He'll likely miss three to six months, and the team hopes he'll be back in June.
Fantasy Tip: With A-Rod out until June, or later, he should probably fall to a late-round pick in drafts. However, based on name value, he could be overvalued and taken earlier. With the surgery taking place on his left hip, it's worth noting he'll be a 37-year-old player with both hips repaired. One has to wonder if the Yanks will explore other options for the hot corner.
