Yankees | Alex Rodriguez to have surgery

Updating an earlier report, New York Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez (hip) was playing with a re-tear of his right hip and will likely have surgery on it. He'll miss at least part of the 2013 season.

Fantasy Tip: This could actually spin into good news for A-Rod's fantasy value in 2013. He looked completely overmatched in the 2012 postseason, and many wondered if father time had caught to him. Once he gets patched up, A-Rod could be a decent value in the middle rounds of your draft. We'll get a better read on that once we find out how invasive the surgery is.
