Mets | Waiting on David Wright
The New York Mets have reportedly made their best offer to 3B David Wright, and they are waiting back to hear a response, according to baseball officials familiar with the talks. The Mets reportedly offered Wright a seven-year extension, adding to his $16 million option for next year, and now they are willing to give him eight years and roughly $140 million. Sources say the proposed extension is backloaded, and there is deferred money in the potential deal.
