Dodgers | Team on verge of signing historic TV contract
According to sources, Fox Sports is close to obtaining exclusive television rights for the Los Angeles Dodgers, by paying between $6 billion and $7 billion over a 25-year period to put the team on its Southern California regional sports network, as well as its national Fox Broadcasting Company. The current deal, which expires at the end of next season, only pays the club approximately $40 million annually for their television rights. The new deal would pay the Dodgers an average of $280 million annually for the next quarter-century.
