Jets | Tim Tebow could have played
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan insisted Friday, Nov. 23, that QB Tim Tebow (ribs) could have played in the Week 12 game against the New England Patriots, despite two fractured ribs, but he had no intention of putting him on the field. "Guys have played (with cracked ribs), and it was told to me that he could play," Ryan said. "But I wasn't going to play him unless it was an absolute emergency and that was when I would play him. It was never told to me that he could not play. In fact, it was just the opposite."
