Free-agent SP Hiroki Kuroda (Yankees) has told friends that his first preference is to sign with a team in southern California where his daughters are going to school. The Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim could have an advantage in their pursuit of Kuroda if he is looking to pitch in California.
