Steelers | More on Ben Roethlisberger

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder) is dealing with a sternoclavicular sprain in his shoulder, which is an uncommon and painful injury. It's the same injury that forced former QB Brett Favre to end his streak of 297 straight games played. A sternoclavicular sprain involves ligament damage to the joint connecting the breastbone and collarbone, and normal recovery time is typically three weeks to multiple months. Head coach Mike Tomlin said QB Byron Leftwich will receive the majority of snaps in practice this week and is expected to start against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11.
