Lions | Calvin Johnson backtracking on injuries

Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson and the team are backtracking on their statements made Thursday, Nov. 8, saying that he did not suffer a concussion or nerve damage from a helmet-to-helmet hit from Minnesota Vikings LB Chad Greenway earlier in the year. The team is saying Johnson only suffered from a stinger. "I have not suffered any nerve damage nor have I received any treatment for nerve damage. I did suffer a stinger and have also experienced the kind of wear and tear that most NFL players are dealing with at this point in the season," Johnson said.
