Yankees | Three decline offers

Free-agent OF Nick Swisher (Yankees), SP Hiroki Kuroda (Yankees) and RP Rafael Soriano (Yankees) each declined their one-year, $13.3 million qualifying offers from the New York Yankees Friday, Nov. 9. The Yankees will receive first-round picks as compensation if any of them sign with other clubs. The team is only expected to pursue Kuroda in free agency. The Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox are already interested in Kuroda. He could also choose to finish his career pitching in Japan.
