Orioles | Two players in AFL Rising Stars game
Baltimore Orioles INF Jonathan Schoop, the Orioles' third-ranked prospect, was 0-for-2 with a run scored, and left-handed RP Mike Belfiore was perfect through 2/3 inning in relief in a winning cause in the AFL East's 9-4 win over the AFL West in the Rising Stars game. The Oriole prospects have had strong Arizona Fall League seasons. Playing mostly third base, Schoop has put up a .292 average with two homers and seven RBIs in 16 games. Belfiore has held left-handed hitters to a .143 batting average, yielding just two hits over 4 1/3 innings. He's allowed just one run in his last six relief appearances over six innings.
