Kansas City Chiefs QB Brady Quinn said he was surprised to be starting over QB Matt Cassel (concussion) in Week 8 as Quinn was told Cassel would return as the starter once healthy. "It was pretty surprising, to be honest with you," Quinn said. "We were competing over the bye week, but Matt got most of the reps. So I was surprised, but excited about it, for my career."
