Dodgers | Carl Crawford regrets returning prematurely

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford (elbow) said he regrets waiting to have shoulder surgery when he was playing with the Boston Red Sox earlier this year. He admits that the pressure to play in Boston compelled him to play injured. "I tried to push it a little bit. With the Boston fans, you've got to try. A big deal was made about my money and stuff, so I tried to prove it and play for the team," Crawford said. "Maybe I shouldn't have done that, I should have taken care of myself when the doctor told me to." He has yet to be cleared to take batting practice or throw, and he likely won't be until January.
