Lions | Teams taking Calvin Johnson out of equation

Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford, who has thrown only five touchdowns this season, said opponents are clamping down on WR Calvin Johnson in the red zone and making it hard for him to get open. "A lot of teams are doing a good job keeping him out of the end zone," Stafford said. "We get inside the 10 and they clamp down and send the safeties. But he's had a lot of catches. Teams are trying to take him away and he's still having a good season." Stafford also said teams are blitzing less in hopes of having better coverage in the secondary on Johnson.
