Giants | Pablo Sandoval swats way into history
San Francisco Giants 3B Pablo Sandoval became just the fourth player in Major League Baseball history to hit three home runs in a World Series game Wednesday, Oct. 24 in game 1 against the Detroit Tigers. He accomplished the feat in his first three at-bats, and he ended up 4-for-4 with three runs scored and four RBIs. Sandoval joins Babe Ruth (1926, 1928), Reggie Jackson (1977) and Albert Pujols (2011) as the only players in history to belt three homers in a World Series game. Sandoval's 13 total bases is second-most in a World Series game behind Pujols (14 - 2011).
