Lions | Jonte Green holds his own in first start

Detroit Lions CB Jonte Green did well on pass plays in his first career start for the Lions. Even though he was only thrown at three times, Green held his own on pass plays covering Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall. Green did pick up a sack in the fourth quarter on a play using good awareness when he decided to abandon his coverage after realizing Bears QB Jay Cutler would likely not be able to make an across-his-body pass to the wide receiver he was covering. Green Struggled on run support, and needs to be more aggressive in those situations. The Lions also got a boost from the return of CB Alphonso Smith, who played just under 30 snaps.
