Yankees | Rafael Soriano could opt out of contract

Scott Boras, the agent for New York Yankees RP Rafael Soriano, said there is a strong chance that his client will turn down a $14 million player option to accept a $1.5 million buyout and test free agency. If he rejects the option, the Yankees could make a qualifying offer between $13.3 million and $13.6 million and Soriano would have one week to accept the new amount or decide to become a free agent.
