Braves | Tim Hudson hoping for extension
Atlanta Braves SP Tim Hudson (ankle) wants to stay with the team for the rest of his career, and he's hoping he can agree on an extension with the club. Atlanta is expected to pick up his $9 million option for the 2013 season. He will avoid offseason surgery for a bone spur in his ankle after he received a cortisone injection and backed off his in-season running program for a few weeks. "I felt better this year than I have in a while, except for the ankle," Hudson said. "My arm felt great all year, my back never gave me any problems, so that was definitely encouraging. I feel good that I can pitch for a while longer."
