Packers | Randall Cobb shining as wide receiver
Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb has quieted any doubts about what he can do as a wide receiver. With WR Greg Jennings (groin) out of the lineup, Cobb's playing time has gone up in recent weeks. He has played in 58 percent of the team's offensive snaps during the past three games. Cobb recorded the first 100-yard receiving game of his young career last week against the Houston Texans and has caught 18 passes for 250 yards in the past three games.
QB Aaron Rodgers said Cobb will probably go down as one of the best draft picks by Packers general manager Ted Thompson. Rodgers went on to say that Cobb is "a personnel and a coach's dream" because he understands the game, knows how to find the soft spots in a defense, is very detailed in his route running, is very intelligent and deliberate about his preparation each week.
It isn't clear how the playing time will be distributed amongst the wide receivers upon Jennings' return, but Cobb has shown he's more than capable of being a productive receiver and returner.
