Lions | Expect Mikel Leshoure to break out

Detroit Lions RB Mikel Leshoure and offensive coordinator Scott Linehan both expect the team's main back to break some long runs in the near future, and the team has stressed the importance of gaining yards in big chunks. Linehan said Leshoure is still adjusting to the speed of the game. "He's really missed football for two years, had a really good first outing," Linehan said. "I think (he) came out after that first game knowing he has to still work on getting in his football shape."
