Nationals | Jordan Zimmermann wants to pitch in relief again

Washington Nationals SP Jordan Zimmermann said he would like to be available out of the bullpen in the deciding Game 5 of the National League Division Series against the St. Louis Cardinals Friday, Oct. 12, after he threw a successful inning in relief in Game 4 Thursday, Oct. 11. "I'm ready for whatever," Zimmermann said. "I could throw three days in a row if the fans stay the way they are. I didn't really feel anything." Zimmermann struck out the side in 12 pitches during his outing. He was throwing his fastball at 97 mph compared to his normal 94 mph heater.
