Cardinals | Chris Carpenter makes history

St. Louis Cardinals SP Chris Carpenter became only the second starting pitcher in history to win a playoff game Wednesday, Oct. 10, after not winning any games in the regular season. The other was P Virgil Trucks in the 1945 World Series. Fourteen relievers have accomplished the feat, though.
