Patriots | Simplify play calling

The New England Patriots have simplified their play calling in the no-huddle formations, at times using one word to call a play, making it easier to get to the line of scrimmage and keep the offense at a high pace. Against the Denver Broncos, the Patriots ran it in 89 plays and recorded a franchise-record 35 first downs. "I think the point of it is to try to get everyone going fast," QB Tom Brady said recently. "So as fast as you can get the communication to your teammates, everyone can be on the line of scrimmage, then the better it is."
