Angels | C.J. Wilson to have surgery later this month

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP C.J. Wilson (elbow) will undergo cleanup surgery on his left elbow Tuesday, Oct. 23, and the team expects the lefty to be ready to play in spring training next year. "It's a quick visit to Dr. Yocum, 40 minutes and it's done," Wilson said following his final start in Seattle on Oct. 1. "I had the same problem in 2008. I bounced back pretty well the last couple years after that so I'm looking at that with a lot of optimism."
